About These Facsimiles
Mary Jean Robertson, Neil MacLean, Milly Henry and Bernedette Zamborno have formed Fixing the Big Picture at the Center for Unauthorized Repairs, a research institute at the New College of California. The institute's mission includes supporting Native American and especially Ohlone film, radio and cultural productions at New College. These facsimiles are the first product of our new center.

The facsimiles were made from originals collected by Tavia C Clarke and held in the Webworks Archive by Mary Jean Robertson. The same archives include approximately 3,000 hours of the Voices of Native Nations broadcast over KPOO, 89.5fm community radio. We believe these tapes are the largest record of contemporary Native American thought and culture.

The Center for Unauthorized Repairs is determined to contribute these archives to the creative commons so that people have access to their own history and so that everyone can share their empowering legacies.
